Week 10

I will start with the phrase that I used to finish the last discussion thread.

..."To be better educators, we first need to be better learners"...

We, as educators, must keep studying and upgrading or revising strategies and methodologies to be able to reach our students and make their learning more meaningful and therefore useful for them. Technology is everywhere and we have to make a better use of it and try our best to incorporate it into our lessons. We can't leave it aside of our teaching strategies, we need it and our students need it. We use it everyday, why not using it for education?!

I have noticed that every time there is a new web tool around the net, teachers tend to turn it into and educational one. Who would have thought that Google Hangouts can now be used for synchronous communication between teachers and students? I'm amazed by it and by plenty of useful tools I come across every day.

This course has been one of the most enriching and fruitful experiences I have ever had. I have always been into Learning Technologies and this course has given me the right strategies and steps to follow in order to successfully integrate technologies in and out of my lessons.

I'm really proud of what I have done with my project and I have to thank everyone, especially Jodi, Celeste and Cherry for their insightful comments and support all along the course. I had already got used to waking up early to complete discussions and reflections. I must invest that time into polishing, replanning and delivering the project I have created and keep learning on-line, keep researching and sharing what I find with my PLN (Personal Learning Network) which has recently grown thanks to this course.

I will see you all on-line!

Very warm regards from Venezuela to all of you! You have been awesome!
